Nov. 17th update
Due to the reduced facility hours the week of Dec. 20th, there will only be a noon workout on Monday Dec. 20th and Wednesday December 22nd – no AM or PM workout. We will stop all workouts starting on Thursday Dec. 23rd and start up the winter session on January 3rd, 2022.
October 20th update
The noon workout on Wednesday October 27th will be in the dive well due to some pool maintenance.
Reminder that there is no Friday night workout on Friday October 22 due to the pool bulkhead moving.
October 10, 2021: There is currently a waiting list for non-MIT associated people to get into our workout group. This list is currently over 50 people long, so we are no longer accepting non-MIT associated people to the group until after January 2022.
UPDATE: The Sunday Sept. 19th workout has been cancelled due to Varsity Water Polo workout.
We are currently only accepting MIT associated people into our club since the daily passes have not been implemented. There is a long waiting list for non-MIT associated people and since we do not know when daily passes will be allowed to be sold, we are in a holding pattern.
Tech Masters has been given permission to restart
We are restarting our workouts on Monday August 23rd for weekday workouts. We will not start weekend workouts until September at the earliest.
The projected workouts are:
Monday through Friday at 6:15 am to 7:30 am
Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon to 1:15 pm
Monday through Thursday from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm
NOTE: no Friday night workouts (until October) and no Sunday morning workout until after Labor day.
You will need to reactivate your gym membership by following the instructions at: renew your MIT gym membership
Please note: you will need to be vaccinated for COVID-19 to be able to use the facilities. Currently MIT is requiring everyone to wear a mask inside. This means that you will need to wear a facemask to the pool deck, take it off just before you get into the water (we recommend having a resealable plastic bag with your name on it to store your facemask while you swim), do your workout and then put back the facemask once you exit the pool .

Tech Masters Swimming is an independent swim team for adults that trains at the MIT pool, a 50 meters by 25 yards dream at the Zesiger Center. Coach Bill Paine heads our practices and we have a roster of approximately 100 members composed of a wide range of characters: age varies from 18 to 70+, college/graduate students, alumni, professors, local professionals and more. Our club is made up mainly of three categories of swimmers: competitive masters swimmers, triathletes and fitness swimmers. We are friendly and welcoming to swimming enthusiasts.
